A panel of experts from the American Venous Forum (AVF), American Vein and Lymphatic Society (AVLS) and the Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM) use the Delphi methodology to assess opinions on lymphedema treatment and diagnosis.
The panel reached consensus that:

- Regular use of compression garments reduces progression of lymphedema
- Pneumatic compression should be recommended for lymphedema patients
